Saurav Ghosh
Born in Calcutta, India, in 1996, Ghosh graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology with specials accolades. He was amongst the first designer ever invited to showcase his graduation collection at TOOLBOX 2019, earning praise from both the press and media.
Since childhood, Ghosh was drawn to art. He persuaded an eight-year diploma in fine arts and was deeply influenced by his mother’s embroidery work, which she excels at. This strong artistic upbringing shaped his design sensibilities, deeply rooted in his cultural heritage. His creative vision centers on creating “new out of old”—designs that bridge timeless Indian heritage with modern technology.
After working with several houses, collaborating with several brands, Ghosh launched his own trademark SAURAV GHOSH, in 2021 inspired by his roots. Through his work, he aims to share Indian stories with the world and pay tribute to the rich legacy of Indian art and craft.
